August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  The stamp set featured this month is S1108 Wicked!  This month we have over 60 wonderful consultants participating and showing off their creations!  This hop is a super exciting one - not only is it a new stamp for a new month, but also the first one from a brand spankin' new Idea Book!!  I used a bunch of new product on my project and I am sure you'll see a lot more from others as well!

This month's stamp set is all about Halloween.  I wanted to challenge myself to use it in a non-Halloween way and I was thinking Harry Potter but I didn't get that far before getting hung up on Halloween.  My creation is a little treat pocket using the new Decor Journaling Spots.  I tried to use as many of the different images as possible and I also used our new Pin Clips as well as a couple shapes from the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge - awesome!!   Don't mind the lack of decent candy, it was all I had and I promise to fill it with better before Halloween!

I took the black tag holder apart and turned it inside out to the solid black side where I decided to stamp the hexagon pattern to create my own background.  Hopefully you can see it in the photo below.

 I had so much fun working with all things new!

Convention Time!!!!

Right now I am in sunny California attending the Close to my Heart annual convention and by now I have been able to see all the awesome new products for fall/winter and it won't be much longer before I can share it all with you too!  In the mean time I thought I would share a bunch of the cards I made to swap with many a fellow consultant.  I made 15 different style cards and 100 all together, below are my favorite 5:

Studio J rocks my socks!

Hi all!  As I am getting ready to head to Disneyland for Close to my Heart's annual convention I just wanted to share with you a couple of the Studio J layouts I just ordered.  They came together so nicely and rather quickly and I was just too excited not to share them.  Enjoy!

H2H Photo Inspiration Challenge

Over at the Heart 2 Heart challenge blog this week inspiration is the name of the game.  We were to use the photo below and create something based on how the photo inspired us.  Well, I've been making swap cards for convention like it's my job and one of them fits the ticket.  I also have a layout that works but I've already posted that before.  Here's the photo:

Heart 2 Heart Color Challenge

This week over at the Heart 2 Heart Challenge blog they've got a color challenge!  I love a good color challenge - and this one is particularly festive.  My father is now officially retired but that doesn't mean that he didn't need me to make him a few more thank you cards before his last day!  This is another thank you card made for my father so I decided to incorporate the challenge colors and make it duel purpose!   The colors are Barn Red, Bamboo and any shade of blue.  I used 2 shades of blue for this card, twilight and outdoor denim.

I used paper from the Emporium paper pack for the twilight flower background and bamboo, outdoor denim, barn red and colonial white card stock.  I added a bamboo organdy ribbon bow and some barn red edge anchors to finish it off!  Thanks for looking and stop by the Heart 2 Heart challenges blog to see more artwork and enter your own creation!
