“I love scrapbooks. They are one of the finest ways of dejunking life and abode... A good scrapbook is interesting and inspiring even to the stranger...Well put together scrapbooks and photo albums have warmed more hearts than any bound book... October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  The stamp set featured this month is S1110 Holiday Magic!  This month we have 56 wonderful consultants participating and showing off their creations! This stamp set is great for the upcoming holiday season and looks great on cards, tags, scrapbook pages, and 3-D projects!

If you have come from Angel's Blog then you are on the right track!

This month's stamp set is great for the holidays.  I found it very easy to incorporate these images into my Holiday Card workshop cards.   These are just 3 of the 27 cards workshop goers will be able to make this year!

I love how bright and cheerful the Believe paper pack is and the shapes of these cards were all cut out using the new CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge!  I also used the "zip strips" as added accents.

Products used (all CTMH except where noted):
S1110 Holiday Magic Stamp Set
Believe Level 2 paper packet
White Daisy Cardstock
Holiday Red, Topiary, Sky, Desert Sand, and Black Inks
Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Now "hop" on over to Lisa's Blog and check out her beautiful artwork for this month!

If you get lost along the way you can go to Helen's Blog to see the complete list of all the participants this month.

Be sure to visit all the consultants at their blogs to get some other great ideas! Remember, the October SOTM is only available until October 31st!  Contact me (GrigsterN at yahoo.com) or click here to see how you can earn this stamp set for just $5!

H2H challenge - all cardstock

I know I am a day late on this one, at least the post part of it anyway!  My project was finished Thursday if that counts for anything!   Anyway, I wanted to hop on the cardstock challenge over at the H2H challenge blog this week.  I have had this idea floating in my head for a while now, so here it is finally made out of paper.  It is simple, very little detail but I think its a cute and fun way to wish someone a yummy birthday.

I based my design loosely on the pattern for the flower pot cards that everyone loves.  I made my ice cream scoops from 2 shapes on the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge, and I only used cardstock, in 4 colors!
Now go check out all the other designs on the H2H challenge blog and see what you can come up with!

Exciting email!

A couple days ago I got a very exciting email from Close to my Heart.  A while back I had entered 3 layouts in what they call the Make it from your Heart contest.  They run this contest for consultants each time there is a new Idea Book.  Well, as I waited on pins and needles for the contest winners to be announced, an email appeared in my inbox!  Score!  One of my layouts won!  I was so excited I could barely sleep that night!   Unfortunately I can't yet show off the winning layout but I can share with you the other 2 that I created that were not chosen.  I still like them very much!
The first one uses Roxie paper and the 10 Things stamp set and some shapes cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.
The second one features Typeset, the Milepost shapes, green buttons and cork alphas - no stamping!
Once the winning layout is posted on the CTMH website, I will also share it here as well as the link to see all the winning artwork!

CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy Cards using Typeset Paper

Here we are in September and the back to school season is in full effect!  This of course hasn't left me a whole lot of time to be crafty but I do want to share with you some of the fun I have been having with the new CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.   Typeset wasn't my favorite paper pack to start with but I jumped right in to using it and I have grown to love it.  In the photos that follow, you will see my version of the "Bonus Project" from the Typeset Workshop on the Go.  The card bases are all cut using the exclusive CTMH Cricut Cartridge and so are many of the shapes featured on the cards.  No more hand cutting stamped images for me!!  I also only used the stamp sets that come with the Cricut bundle as well as the September Stamp of the month, Limited Edition, to show how little you need to complete a project.  Enjoy!  If you are interested in creating your own set of cards, check out the details below the photos.

I will be hosting a workshop in which you can come and make these 5 cards.  It will be at my home in Hamilton, NJ.
Date: Thursday, September 29th from 6:30-8:30pm
Cost:  $10 for a precut kit to make the cards
**If you order your CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge from me before the workshop date, you can come and make the cards for just $5
***If you place an order of $150 which includes the Cricut Cartridge, you can come make the cards for free! You'll also earn $25 of selected free items with your order!
Please RSVP by September 26th and bring your favorite adhesive!  Make sure you contact me as soon as possible if you are interested as there are a limited number of kits available!
